Abstract
This article presents the experience of the authors in designing and
developing multi-agent software systems. We describe LFlag, a library that
implements a simple name service for agents within an Intranet and some
mechanisms for agents mobility and for their communication. We also
present a distributed address space for active objects and a software
implementation of this called Omega. Finally, we describe a new
development called AgKA and the possible ways AgKA could improve our
work and interactions in a distributed environment.
